Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Wilson, has responded to a transphobic remark made by her father.
Over the weekend, Musk responded to a fan’s post on X, making remarks about Vivian, one of his children with ex-wife Justine Wilson.
“My son, Xavier, died,” the billionaire SpaceX founder wrote, referring to his daughter, who came out as transgender in 2020. “He was killed by the woke mind virus. Now, the woke mind virus will die.”
A few hours later, Wilson, 20, reacted on Instagram by sharing a screenshot of Musk’s tweet. Along with it, she lip-synced a famous line from RuPaul’s Drag Race, saying,
“I look pretty good for a dead b****.”
The quote was originally spoken by contestant Morgan McMichaels during season three of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
Earlier this month, Wilson spoke about her strained relationship with the Tesla CEO, sharing that they haven’t been in contact for five years.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, she said, “I don’t give a f*** about him. I really don’t. It’s annoying that people associate me with him. I just don’t have any room to care anymore.”
Vivian also mentioned that she supports herself financially and doesn’t really think about her father, except when she comes across news or social media posts about him. Currently, she’s based in Tokyo and is pursuing studies to become a translator.
“I’ll see things about him in the news and think, ‘That’s f****** cringe, I should probably post about this and denounce it,’ which I have done a few times,” she said.
While addressing the controversy surrounding Trump’s inauguration celebration, Wilson spoke about the moment Musk’s salute was compared to a Nazi salute.
While some defended it as a “Roman” salute, she dismissed those claims. “The Nazi salute s*** was insane,” she told the publication.
“Honey, we’re going to call a fig a fig, and we’re going to call a Nazi salute what it was. That s*** was definitely a Nazi salute.”

The tech mogul has distanced himself from Wilson, claiming he was “tricked” into allowing her to undergo gender-affirming medical treatments at 16.
In a 2024 interview, he stated that Wilson was figuratively “dead” to him and labeled her an adherent of “radical Marxism.”
Vivian also shared her reaction to Elon’s tweet on Threads, calling it “gross” and dismissing it as “nonsense” she would deal with later.
“Ew. Gross. I’ll deal with this nonsense in a bit, for now a simple ratio will suffice,” she wrote.
One social media user called out Musk’s remarks, saying, “This is a horrible thing to say about your child.”
A second expressed sympathy for Vivian and wrote, “I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this pain in public. It’s absolutely shocking. Please stay safe and know that we appreciate and support you.”
“You’re a beautiful young lady who shouldn’t have to go through these attacks in the public eye. Stay strong.”
In another interview, Wilson didn’t hold back, calling Musk a “pathetic man-child” and making it clear that his power means nothing to her.
“Why should I be scared of this man? Because he’s rich? Oh no, I’m trembling. Ooh, shivering in my boots here,” she said. “I don’t give a f**k how much money anyone has. I really don’t. He owns Twitter. Okay. Congratulations.”
She added that fear is what gives people power, but she refuses to let that affect her. “I’m not giving anyone that space in my mind. The only thing that gets to live free in my mind are drag queens.”
